The wisdom of the ages can be found in rain forests. One could argue that most of what is important in life is contained within the majestic realm that is an old growth forest. Cutting down forests to graze cattle is something so depraved it goes beyond the absurd. This might seem like a tired lament but the insanity of such a wanton and rampant occurrence leaves us no choice but to raise our fists in protest.
If you became convinced that the cure for every disease created on this earth had a natural cure that could be found in the old growth forests of the world, would the problem seem more immediate and more hair-raising? Well, we can not prove that it is so, but more than a few of us around the globe embrace that point of view. Does that makes us correct? No, but we believe it nonetheless. What do you believe?
We believe in the majesty of nature and the magic of life. We believe in natural cures, quality of life, eating local foods, supporting local farmers, planting herb gardens protecting our forests and, in general, keeping pace with the rhythm of life. What do you believe in?

Do you believe that all the cures for all of the diseases that exist in the world have natural cures? We believe that, just as we believe in the vast intelligence of nature. It is amazing that cures for many physical ailments from obesity to cardiovascular disease to cancer are suddenly attributed to fruits and herbs that have been in existence a very long time. Remember it was not too long ago when Pycnogenol, found in the pine bark of the French forests, was all the rage for its healing properties. More recently its been resveratrol from the Japanese knotweed plant and acai from the palm trees of central and south America.
If you look at the famous redwood in Muir Woods north of San Francisco, the one that has all the rings marked to show the age of the tree – the birth of Christ, the time of the Norman Conquests – the term ancient wisdom takes on a whole new meaning.

“The sharp edge of a razor is difficult to pass over; thus the wise say the path to Salvation is hard.” In Maugham’s novel The Razor’s Edge this does not stop the character of Larry from taking the road less traveled by in his quest for enlightenment.
All the more reason for the aging coal miner to look upon Larry in disbelief when he hears that somehow his spiritual path has bypassed the Upanishads.

Ancient wisdom does not refer only to one thing and can be applied to many things including self-improvement and recovery from addiction. We are continually struck by the universality of ancient wisdom and this is not limited only to the mystical wisdom that lies within the sacred scriptures. It applies to nature’s intelligence, for example.
The wisdom of which we speak traverses geographical boundaries and transcends ethnicity, gender, race, space and time. It can be thought of as wisdom that has been handed down through story telling, from one healer to another, or from master to student.
“The facts of life mattered nothing to him who by the power of fancy held in fee the twin realms of space and time.” – Maugham
Fortunately, for us we have an inexhaustible library that is the world we live in.
We intend to tap the source of ancient wisdom in our journey.
